'El Greco to Goya' exhibition
Patina was approached in July 2017 to install the exhibition ‘El Greco to Goya: Spanish Masterpieces from the Bowes Museum’ in the lower gallery at the Wallace Collection.
We were first required to build new walls to allow the paintings to hang freely over the dado rail. For this, we built a framework that was covered in fire retardant 22mm plywood. This was then wallpapered and the whole space painted. Once this was completed, we installed all the paintings for the exhibition, which opened in September 2017. Patina was then asked back to unhang and repack the artworks in January 2018.
