Collection of The National Heritage Centre for Horseracing and Sporting Art
In April 2018 Patina was approached to assist in the removal of all the objects and artworks from the now-closed National Horseracing and Sporting Art Museum in Newmarket, Norfolk and move them to the recently converted museum and gallery, the National Heritage Centre for Horseracing and Sporting Art, which was close by.
In September 2018 a team of six Patina technicians took all the works out of the old gallery and into the new museum over a period of two weeks. We transported the works in three truckloads a day and our team then unwrapped all the paintings so that they could be put onto new storage screens or bays. This was carried out in collaboration with the museum’s registrars, who updated the database.
