Janet Laurence
'Trace Efface' 1991
In 2011 we were approached by Macquarie Bank to pack and transport its entire art collection to its new offices in Ropemaker Place, London. Once this had successfully been completed, we installed a newly commissioned artwork by the Australian artist Janet Laurence in the new main reception.
The work consisted of 26 sheets of Perspex with images of the Queensland rainforest and mirrors. These were to be suspended over the reception area. Patina drew up full risk and method statements and, with agreement from Macquarie Bank, the work was installed.
This artwork has successfully been removed and reinstalled in 2016, 2018 and 2019 for redecorating and new lighting.
