“Lyndsey Morgan has worked as a freelance conservator at the Serpentine Gallery since 2004. During this period, she has worked on a variety of exhibitions, condition checking artworks by artists including Ellsworth Kelly, Glenn Brown, Gabriel Orozco, Sarah Lucas, Rebecca Warren and Jeff Koons.

The works she has examined have come from the collections of private individuals as well as museums from around the world.

She has always been able to deal with the challenges presented to her at the gallery, These include working to strict deadlines, dealing with unusual materials, and working in a busy environment under pressure.

She recognises the importance of her role and the responsibilities that it brings and deals with it in a calm and considered manner.

On occasions when she has been required to clean a work she always calculates and communicates the element of risk involved and always presents method statements. She is a clear and effective communicator and is able to explain the sometimes complicated status of the condition of a sculpture in layman’s language.

In addition to this she is a great pleasure to work with. Above all she is a consummate professional.”

“I’ve worked now on a range of shows and installations with John Bracken and his Patina team. I recommend them to clients with complete confidence because their attention to detail and real knowledge of artists’ needs make them great to work with. More than that, John will also take the initiative to avoid a crisis or unnecessary expense and will make sure that projects are finished on time and to perfection.”

“The Foundling Museum is a small museum that puts on ambitious and impressive temporary art exhibitions. John and his company, Patina Art Collection Care, have been instrumental in our success in doing so. With John, you know you get first rate experience and expertise, but to a price that a charity can afford. John is a problem solver and is great in a crisis. His expertise in the security and health & safety aspects of his craft completes the package and makes him the perfect project manager for any art installation.”
